A warm, layered home shaped by the character of its original architecture and the rhythms of everyday family life.

Designed to feel lived in

The brief was to create interiors that felt established rather than newly decorated—comfortable, personal and full of details that might have been collected over time.
The existing home gave us plenty to work with. Rather than smoothing away its quirks, we leaned into them, introducing natural materials, aged finishes and a restrained palette of warm neutrals, olive and deep timber. New elements were chosen to sit comfortably alongside the old, allowing the house to evolve without losing the sense of history that made it interesting in the first place.

In the entry, a generous antique-style table creates a natural landing place at the centre of the room, while darker timber furniture, vintage-inspired lighting and landscape artwork bring weight to the otherwise pale space. The result feels welcoming without being overly styled—somewhere that can handle the comings and goings of daily life.

Throughout the home, furniture and objects were selected for their character as much as their function. Pieces with patina sit alongside more refined finishes, while linen, aged brass, stone and timber bring variation and texture. Nothing needed to match exactly; the aim was for each room to feel as though it had gradually found its way there.

The palette shifts subtly from room to room while maintaining the same underlying warmth. Earthy greens and muted reds appear alongside cream, brown and soft ochre, giving the interiors enough colour to feel distinctive without overwhelming the architecture.

More than anything, Albert Park Terrace was designed to feel lived in. A little imperfect, deeply comfortable and unmistakably belonging to the people who call it home.
